Ze hebben ze echt geteld\u2026 Nee hoor, het blijkt dat deze duin exact 45 km van Sesriem afligt en daarom heet hij zo. Wat een helse klim om 0600 uur \u2019s ochtend. Veel wind en elke stap glij je een halve stap terug. De gids sprak Afrikaans, dus alle kinderen konden het ook redelijk volgen. Hij zei&nbsp; als je het nie versta nie, dan zeg jij mij dan zal ik in English vertalen. Hij liep op zijn blote voeten en uiteindelijk hebben ook een aantal kinderen dat gedaan. De Sossusvlei is ontstaan door het zand van de&nbsp; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/nl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oranjerivier\" target=\"_blank\">oranjerivier<\/a> die Zuid Afrika en Namibi\u00eb scheidt. Het zand dat achterbleef na de overstromingen waaide weg en kwam in de Sossusvlei neer. Iedere zomer waait de wind van west naar oost en vormt zo de duinen het lijkt of de zandduinen wandelen omdat s`winters de wind&nbsp; van oost naar west waait en het puntje van elke duin dan ook de andere kant op staat. De duinen liggen in twee rijen naast elkaar en daar tussen liep de rivier. Er zaten veel garnalen in het water. Vlak voordat het droogviel legde zij eitjes. Als er dan toch weer water op zou komen zal er tot 15 jaar nieuwe garnalen in het water komen. De gids liet ons ook spinnenholletjes zien en tok-tokkies (kleine torretjes). Daarna weer terug naar de camping om de tenten in te pakken, te lunchen en op weg te gaan naar <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/nl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Solitaire_(Namibi%C3%AB)\" target=\"_blank\">Solitaire<\/a>.&nbsp; Een heel klein plaatsje dat ontstaan is uit een benzinestation voor doorgaande reizigers.
